Allyn Pon

I'm Allyn Pon, founder of Optimize Consulting. For 35+ years I've worked at the intersection of the boardroom and the codebase — a BSEE engineer and MBA marketer who can sit with your executives to set strategy in the morning and with your engineers to unblock delivery in the afternoon.

That bridge is where products succeed or stall. Your business knows what it wants; engineering knows what's possible. My job is to translate between them — turning market needs, pricing, and customer pain into clear requirements (MRDs, PRDs, specs), and turning technical reality back into decisions you can act on. It starts with customer discovery: the interviews are where the clues to what actually sells are hiding.

I'm most useful when the work is hard. The engagements I'm brought into usually share one trait — someone already tried, stalled, or decided it couldn't be done: a crowded market with no budget, a product buried under conflicting requests, data sources that won't reconcile, a manual process no one could scale. That difficulty is where I'm at my best.

For 15+ years that has increasingly meant AI. I architect AI-agent workflows that automate intake, document extraction, and decisioning — work that has supported 66% revenue increases without adding headcount — and I build with modern AI tools myself, so I can help you tell where AI is a real competitive advantage from where it's just hype.
